Hinton says he fears AI wiping out all humanity and the follow up question is Job losses in the medium term? I’m sorry, but even if the risk of existential extinction is low, how is that? Not the most important question to talk about and drill down on? Who cares if there’s unemployment or not if everybody is killed? It seems like a pathological desire to avoid this question at all costs.
