Automation has been taking jobs for centuries. I believe one of the Queens of Europe banned the printing press because it would take the jobs of scribes. Look, take automation to the extreme. Every business is 100% automated producing all of its products and services without human labor. Who would buy their products or services? No human is making money. This will always place a limit on the amount of automation that is possible in a society. A balance so to speak.
Bottom line is 30K people die on our highways every year. Self driving vehicles could reduce that by over 99%.
