Mostly agree, but let's be honest, LLMs are still pretty much a black box for researchers, too. It's kind of like saying we understand the brain well because we have a good understanding of neurons and know some about what certain sections of the brain do at a high level. The problem is the complexity built on that simpler construct is very difficult to trully understand,amd LLMs are easier to experiment on, but their complexity is still really too high for us to Grok, even with AI assistance.
