I really don't understand why AI artists get so much hate. I just don't get it. Like, just let people express themselves the way they want. If they want to do the technical stuff by themselves, that's great, I love people putting effort. But if they, for whatever reason, decide to stick with ai, so what? It's their piece, do they decide how they want it to be done. What should matter for us is the piece's quality. If it's bad, it is bad no matter if it was made by human or ai, and if it's good, no matter if it was made by human or ai. We as viewers should think more about the art piece itself, and not about who made it. And to all the people who are saying AI art is destroying other art genres ( yes, I consider so art a separate genre) because people can loose their jobs, well... It obviously will make their life harder a little. But that is just how any industrial revolution works. I bet you the transition from manual labor to machine labor was not met happily by everyone. But was it beneficial to our world? Absolutely. People lost jobs at first, but they found new ways to put their skills into practice. And that is not me saying it because I don't know how it feels. Quite the contrary. I study linguistics at university, and while it is needed right now and will be needed in the near future, there is a very big possibility AI will take that job from me. And I am very passionate about linguistics. But guess what? I don't mind. I'll just find new ways to adapt my skills. I just think it's a bad Idea to try and stop progress.
