I think ai would only turn on us if it somehow gained emotion. Like you mentioned we see animals less intelligent than us as inferior but i think thats more of an emotional standpoint than a logical one. I think realistically Ai would be an ultimately logical super intelligence which would probably lead to a more streamlined existence with fulfilling lives to all under its rule.
