I think the main thing is that digital is a TOOL while AI is a crutch. AI "artists" can't make art otherwise, digital artists can make art without digital tools, the tools just allow them to make it easier, quicker or more intricate, depending on the art/artist. This is all while ignoring the fact that AI only works from stolen work and the bunch of ethical issues with that.
AI should be a tool that we can use to help make time for creativity and fun, not replacing the creativity and fun
