Just got the heads-up that I’m getting laid off next Friday 😂 I’m a mid-level (or strong junior) front-end/full-stack engineer with 3 years of experience. My boss likes me, but he can’t shield me from VC pressure and high interest rates. From a financial standpoint, it’s hard to argue against outsourcing to top 1% engineers in Vietnam that use AI tools better at a fraction of the cost ops~ I’m going to teach piano in person that I’m already doing as my side job. I guess it’s harder to outsource or replaced by AI, at least for now
