Even movie maker will use AI so how can we use AI and sell AI art without infringement? I have a concept, I have a full story, a novel, music, and use AI for the characters, am I ok because I have all these other components that comes from me that is human art, or I still have to manipulate the visuals like joining them together on the same page or making a graphic novel? If I try to copyright my characters with photoshop modifications, will the character it self be copyrighted or just the image? I had to generate over 1500 images to get the style I wanted, only then, started to create my characters... I had to create option sets to get the same face and costume more or so so that I can ad this option set when using a prompt in different scene setting. All this takes time, effort, passion and craft... Just like art takes time, effort, passion and craft. Same goes for a podcast or book generated by GPT it won't spit out what you want in one shot. Besides, it can't even give you more than 1000 words a shot. So you constantly need to ask for rewrite, ad this, big that out, adjust this, and readjust your outline. No one ever told Spielberg it was not his movie because he is not in it... Well, he tell the crew he wants more of this, biff that scene out, speed up the tempo of the song here and this actor needs more of that emotion. Same thing when generating a book, a novel or anything else. This scene needs more pressure, more action here, or more mystery, this character won't tell the secret right away, let's keep this for another scene and introduce this element instead. No one knows how much work there is until they use these tools. Because that is all they are. The end result is the consumer won't want to know, all they want is a good story. Comic-Con won't accept AI art, but since it is growing and there are more and more digital artists, either they will have to one day, or someone else will create an event just for them. I am an artist. I wrote many albums, musicals and books myself. Now I want to use AI for some visuals, but feel the world is not ready for where it's at. Humans have this tendency, they create without regulation until problems occur, and then regulate. I'm looking for a solution so I can use AI visuals without having to deal with infringements or suites. I did look for an artist to draw my characters for 2 years and found only one person.
