AI will replace developers and engineers, PERIOD. At least most of them. AI already generates code at an incredible speed rate doing millions of tasks at a time. Humans will still be needed to give directives and control AI in a more abstract way for coding projects, but the common web developer or software engineer jobs are doomed. So as a Developer myself I think we just need to adapt to the new AI era and try to find our place in this new market. Human creativity is still important and AI still lacks on that area, so we can take advantage of all these amazing AI tools to create unique products. No one knows what the market will be in 10 years from now, it's really hard to predict.
