I use Copilot a lot to fill out boilerplate and such. I had a fun experience a while back when I started writing a function that converts an image to SVG by tracing it. Copilot suggest that instead of tracing, just generate a single 1x1 pixel rectangle for each pixel in the input image. It was obviously stupid but I decided to try it anyway. And sure, it did actually work. The code it generated compiled and ran. And it generated a 1 gigabyte SVG file that promptly crashed every single software I tried to open it in. Sooo.... yeah. AI is doing great.
