Not only is Geoffrey Hinton the godfather of A.I. he has been involved with computers since like the 1960s so he has a keen overview of the evolution of computers from the 1960s onward.
AI is only good for the billionaires pushing for it so that they have more money and power.
Hardly anybody I know is excited about AI or wants it period.
