If you are correct then the mere act of having a seggsual fantasy involving real people who haven't consented to being involved, is seggsual assault. Take the example of upskirting which until recently wasn't illegal let alone considered seggsual assault. Specific laws were required rather than extending the scope of what constitutes assault. One could say it is an assault on someone's character however this is not dealt with under assualt legislation but quite seperately under defamation and libel. There's a fine line here. What if someone makes a deep fake porn video for thier own sake only? How fake does deep fake need to be to be criminal? The issue appears to hinge on what people generally can be tricked into believing and this is obviously rapidly developing as people get wiser with greater knowledge and awareness.
