History is full of examples where refusal to evolve led to irrelevance. In today’s world, it’s simple: adapt or die. That’s not fear-mongering—it’s reality. That said, AI should never be doing all the work for you. It’s a tool—powerful, yes, but still a tool. When used effectively, it can significantly enhance your creativity, productivity, and precision. For me, ChatGPT has been a tremendous help in developing my story. It’s allowed me to organize my thoughts, flesh out characters and plot points, and break through moments of creative block. I’m currently using NovelCrafter, and it’s been a game-changer. Instead of staring at a blank page, I’m actually writing—enjoying the process of seeing my story come to life. I’ve built my entire story wiki in NovelCrafter’s Codex. Is it perfect? No. I still have to revise and polish what it generates—but it’s cut down the grunt work dramatically. I can focus on storytelling, not stress over grammar, spelling, punctuation, or sentence flow. AI is helping to level the playing field. The truth is, competitive edges in any industry never last forever. Time is money. Fairness is a myth. And those who embrace new tools will always outpace those who resist them. Schools and institutions that ban AI aren't protecting anyone—they're handicapping the next generation. AI isn’t going away. The question is no longer if we use it—it’s how we use it. Like the printing press, the calculator, or the internet, AI is just another leap forward. The sooner we embrace that, the better prepared we’ll be for what comes next.
