hi, hypermobile artist with chronic joint pain here: I dont find AI "art" to be any more accessible than making normal art. can making art irritate my joints at times? yes. does that stop me? not at all. some days can be worse than others, maybe my wrist or shoulder is giving me a hard time that day or something, but i still find workarounds. usually i draw, craft, sew, etc. through the pain if i can and if i cant then i take that day as a rest day, or i do something less straining to my joints that involves art, such as simply going through my supplies and gathering materials for sketchbook spreads that i plan to make in the future.
AI is not more accessible, if anything typing out a prompt could easily irritate the same joints drawing could. i see no benefit to AI personally.
