This goes beyond art, too. I consider myself a bit of an intellectual in the sense that I love learning new things. I'm currently a college student, and they warned us against using AI to write our essays for us. Personally, I take even the suggestion of using it as an insult to my intellect. I imagine artists and authors feel the same about their work. AI "art" is pretty good, but it will never match the work of a skilled artist.
