Agreed. There is something to make a note of tho; the size of busines you can work in (and which you also briefly touched on with freelancing)..and also what their target market is. I work at a small company where we take on clients with low budgets, but have great ideas. We take high end clients too, but market and pride ourselves in helping small businesses. In my position i work as a designer, ux, ui, client contact, researcher, webdeveloper, frontend dev, backend dev, data architect and more...i wear so many hats in my job and i love it. It never gets boring and i will def keep me in front of any layoffs in regards to AI. We need to remember that clients (most of the time) dont want to deal with AI, they want to deal with a human to do their project for them. The same goes for bosses/leaders/CEO etc..most of them have way too much on their hands as it is, and the last thing they want to do is trying to develop a software with AI alone. Thats not happening. Obviously this is not always the case, but more often than not. What i hear from a LOT of clients is that they want to hire someone to do this type of work because they are not professionals themselves in the area and they trust professionals, as with any profession. I have always, and still do, believe in the T-shape mindset in skills. You can focus on as many as you like, but 3 is a good starting point; Look at the "T" and put in your three main skills in the horizontal line in the "T"..then..the one skill of those 3 that you want to have as a main focus, put that in the middle where the vertical line in the letter "T" is. That showcases the deep knowledge skill, and the other two are still solid skills, but not with the same depth of knowledge. This is a great way to keep yourself attractive to an ever changing market in design, development and beyond. In short, i think the TITLES will go away and the roles will be redefined basically. That is essentially , kind of, what you are saying as well, i believe 😁
