Personally I find this topic to be a major distraction. Bernie, you’re a smart guy, so I sincerely hope that the benefits of AI are in consideration for what you’re conveying.
It cannot be helped that people will lose jobs. That is progress. Much in the same way the thousands of oil workers and gas company employees will lose their jobs if environmental crisis is tackled proportionally.
To me, AI is a huge distraction from our real problems. Far too many people are using it as a scapegoat for the problems that existed far before it came to be.
It’s disgusting how ignorant this world truly is when even those paying attention are heavily skewed on who’s the bad guy.
Environmentally, AI isn’t great, but improving the work force isn’t either?
I’d like to see these white collar workers get dirty. I’m tired of the stay at home, work from home culture. All these social media donkeys ruining society by making the youth think their platforms are profitable. That there is a slice for them.
Meanwhile our infrastructure is falling apart. Is AI going to fix that or will enough jobless humans do it?
