There are two things that seem to be racing to a finish line. One is generalized AI and the other is expanded consciousness of humans. If this were all part of a plan, it would seem to be a good point to end of the current state of humanity. Does our civilization reset, do we become a hybrid civilization, or is intelligence itself the next evolutionary step of the earth’s story regardless of the form? Honestly we haven't been doing very well in the last 50 years. A change in path is probably necessary.
