I think out of all the arguments AI bros say, the "its more accessible" is the one I despise the most. I'm disabled btw, missing my entire right arm up to my shoulder, since birth. I've always loved drawing and art since I was very young, my family in general is very artistically driven. It really disgusts me how AI bros take our struggles when more often then not they are able bodied and don't have anyone who is disabled around them. So, here are concrete reasons why art is accessible already. 1. Art is the most subjective and fluid form of skill. Yes there are absolutely very technical things in art but that is only one facet of it. Art doesn't have to be that technical and there are ways to go around it with your disability. Source: me. Your art style isn't just your unique flair to art, but also the ways in which you adapt to art. 2. I've drawn both traditional and digital art for a very very long time. Especially digital art have tons and tons of ways to already make art accessible. I'm also colorblind and digital art has many things to adjust colors to be accurate as possible and even help you with fixing color balance. There are millions of ways to modify your keybinds to help you have easy access to shortcuts that can become a pain to get to if your mobility is compromised (reminder that I'm missing an entire arm, so I use these tools often) So this whole bs excuse AI bros give is null and void, because they clearly haven't tried. They've given up on themselves and just want to make money off of things they did not create. Because it's quick and easy to do. I feel like a lot of this AI bro vitriol comes from a place of jealousy and projection. It takes a lot of self hatred to refuse to make an effort to create something yourself with your own blood, sweat and tears. To be so afraid of making mistakes, to learn and to express yourself in an artistic medium. To be so jealous of other artist that you have to justify stealing their art, mashing them together at the push of a button and yet wish the death of art. Basically I'm saying AI bros are Incels but for art instead of women lol.
