As soon as Stuart Russell said "Not Yet" to the question, "If you had a button to stop all progress in AI now would you hit it?" I knew we are all doomed. It's NOT even "GREED" or the "Midas touch", as he seeks to explain and deflect; it's this Human Delusion of 'Playing GOD" always. Ego. Pride. A 'God Complex'. How close to the edge can I get without burning. Surely a taste of that fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil can't do no harm? It will make me like God! Yeah, right!
