Let’s get real. Big Tech, Big Biz, etc their #1 objective for AI is to influence consumer spending. Social engineering is part and parcel. Apple “the next iPhone will enhance AI blah blah blah.” There are a great many people that don’t want AI. We know what we want out of life and can fulfill it on our own. AI not really intelligence at all except in very rare developing machines. AI is just algorithms evolving from collecting our data. If someone looks up a cheesecake recipe you emails get banged up ads start appearing all over your media sources. If you grow up in an Irish/Italian neighborhood but your name is Carlos, well, Netflix, Max and the rest, first thing offered up are Spanish speaking movies. God forbid if you select a movie where a gay character had a minor role. AI will push every gay movie out there on you. Don’t get it twisted I am all for EVERYONES pursuit of happiness regardless of race or sexual proclivity but it doesn’t mean I want to watch James & John’s Big Greek Wedding; nor do I want to wear a Pride patch or a LBGQT+ whatever the acro now is logo on my shirt. I care about all but I don’t want to be strong armed, because that’s what’s going on. Ask those Russian NHL players who were suspended for not wearing the Pride patch on their uniforms. Now who is forcing their preferences on others. All these unique groups sought equality, fortunately achieve it but then want to place a Scarlet letter on those that may not want to march half naked along side folks doing some crazy weird things down Broadway and kids’s heads lean sideways with a quizzical look.
