meh, we'll find out soon enough. we really have no idea how it's going to evolve. superior to ourselves? Yes, almost a complete certainty (AI engineer myself). But malicious? we really don't know. it abstracts our collective psychology, and our embedded evolutionary drives altogether. What's really behind them? Could be ugly, or could be beautiful. Just like using these tools is right now: amazing, and dangerous at the same time. Yes, it's scary to think about it going wrong. But it's fallacious to claim that's the only possible outcome.
