There will have to be a tax on AI productivity to reign in exploding profit margins and fund the slow down in employment options for citizens, otherwise there will be civil unrest. For example if your business was growing at an average rate over five years and your employee count showing a similar expansion and now it has declined in the rate of human capital growth then there is a quite easy calculation of how many humans are being replaced by automation and therefore a company is producing without the cost to their business (wages, overheads etc) this would result in a productivity and profit dividend for the company and that itself needs to be taxed.
