AI. Something no one wanted, no one asked for, and no one needed. Meanwhile we desperately need infrastructure / climate change adaptation investment. Which has proven in economic models would spur massive economic growth. They could do it for AI, and they can for sustainability. But its not interesting for oil and other old guard oligarchs.
