AI is an inveitability at this point, as it is a part of technology advancement.
Regardless of how artists feel with how their life's work being ripped off and all or how many artists would lose jobs in the industry, the progression of technology will always continue, as it has done so in the past with different machines making other people's jobs redundant. The inevitable part of this is that they will only get better and better more quicker.
It sucks learning something you love for a substantial part of your life just be replaced redundantly by a prompt since the effort it takes for it to do that compared to years of your life is insultingly vast. And although us human beings have strived to achieve better quality of life, it should atleast do that for actual menial tasks and not things that people find life and meaning in.
Because other than for companies finding more ways to save more money by replacing human work, what even is the point of developing AI in art?
