I remember using an Chat GPT for a paper, I used it mostly for paraphrasing and grammar. The professor used an AI detector and got like 60%, I told them I didn't get ideas and just did it out of laziness and to make a proper paper. 30 min later I sent them another document and it showed less than 20%. What I did was just re-paraphrasing bits of the document. This also kinda proved to her that what I did was my work and that even if AI helped, I could've easily have done it without its help.
Thankfully she was understanding and gave me max credit.
