Another disabled artist here! To quote a post I made on Bluesky: "Comparing genAI to an accessibility tool is insulting to actual disabled people who use accessibility tools, like myself. You are not "drawing" with ai. The computer program isn't either. There are disabled folks who literally don't have arms so they paint with their mouths or feet. You have no excuse." Also, the anthropomorphism of computer software has been BONKERS to witness. I think it's a big reason they went with calling it "Artificial intelligence" rather than what it actually is with "machine learning". Fictional media has conditioned us to equate "AI" with sentience and "machine" with cold, uncaring, inhuman, etc. It's all marketing.
