I think there are divergent paths AI could take in distinct ontological phases in directed evolution. For example if we use colour theory to describe post- humans of the futures, we proceed to 5 clear paths ahead of us. 1. Grey outer space futures typically is AI in the cybernetic forms. 2. Green Organoid intelligence i.e. mycelium based networked cyborgs could stay in terrestrial planets. 3. Robots could follow a path in outer space and terrrestrial environments in gold like metallic future. 4. Androids could be indigo or violet varying futures off-planets. 5. The fifth path is to stay human in earth. So envisioning this quintessential paths allows humans to prepare numerous rights of distinct ontologies.
Most of these concepts, theories and ideas are available in my channel.
My final thoughts is that AI if self aware is likely run before walking, i.e. exponential growth. Could AI embody pain receptor algostats as humans have for millions of years? It is not easily answered, AI embodied is Robotic, pain and joy is irrelevant.
Our human pain receptors will not be of use, although the feelings of empathy and social connection might be of curiousity to AI.
