AI should have to be trained on paid for data sets.
MEANING, if an artist wants to make a data set of their own artwork and sell it to one of the AI companies It basically transferring over the rights of those images to the AI company, then now that artwork can be used.
That is exactly how it should be done.
Or artists could do what stock image websites do and make a data set and sell a license to use their artwork to an AI company.
To me those are the only two viable options. Unless these AI creators want to start painting their own paintings.
