Well said, at first I thought this was against the very idea of easing human workloads using AI, but it's more about protecting the citizens in the process of that happening. Ensuring everyone has money to pay for stuff is important, but it's also important to take into consideration the human psychology.
Since covid I've been working from home a lot and have adopted a very complacent lifestyle. While that is a dream for many and could be freeing, for me it's been less meaningful and my mental and physical health has been declining. I'm personally dependant on external motivators and external obligations to function properly.
