Unfortunately, we live in a society that doesn't value art or artists. It is almost impossible to make a living as an artist. Before industrialization, every chair, table, and utensil was hand-crafted by carpenters. Now, people pick up their IKEA furniture from a warehouse of thousands of duplicates from one of thousands of identical stores. AI taking over digital art is a continuation of this trend. It's a mirror of the state our society: souless, devoid of life and appreciation for it. Often times, people don't have a choice to support their local artists out of survival and necessity. It is sad and the norm, people can't enjoy the finer things in life. The drums of productivity, scale, and profitability deafen our natural creativity until we become as souless as the automatons that are bound to replace us. I hope our future is not as grim as described.
