"Nightshade doesn't work"
Even if it didn't... Generated images are already poisoning *themselves*. Scraping their own work and getting progressively worse to the point where the companies have to try and prevent the models from scraping AI generated images.
So the people who are trying to fool others into believing that AI images are real are also damaging the models they rely so heavily on.

My first thought when I have an idea isn't "oh boy I bet nobody has ever done this before!" it's "wow, I want to see what *I* can do with this!"
I am disabled and have pretty constant hand tremors which leads me to:
OH AND THE DIGITAL ART THING.
Digital art is much easier for me because I can adjust for my hand tremors more easily. However, hand me a sketchbook and I can still make art that is recognizable as mine. On the other hand, Generative AI users? Not so much.
