damn, it kind of sucks when you realize you know a bit more than legal eagle in regards to a legal case. thought you'd do your homework on this one sadly. 1) you keep mentioning self-driving and beta testing. the car was using autopilot which is cruise control. The case is not about self driving but about teslas base ADAS system being confused with their self driving FSD system which was won because of the same confusion you are displaying here. for reference, autopilot is cruise control, and no other vehicles cruise control can be expected to do anything but plow through a stop sign even if you press the accelerator.
