As an artist of 20+ years, the one use to AI is for creating refrences in your own words for yourself to practice your own art. This “entering AI art into a contest” is gross, did he even let it be known it wasn’t made by his own hands? I’m not sure what would be worse, he didn’t elaborate that it’s not his own work or the judges knew it was AI and still chose it to win
