The excellent Netflix documentary, “Coded Bias” takes a deep dive into this problem. And yes it’s a big and serious problem for AI. We can’t just “clean up” the databases that AI accesses. This also isn’t about wokeness. The bias is endemic to the data, and in many ways it’s already too late - the ship has sailed. 🫡✌🏼
