I’m a lawyer. We will survive AI. “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers,” spoken by the character Dick the Butcher, from Henry VI, Part 2 by William Shakespeare. Dick the Butcher was basically a thug working for a would-be tyrant, and the line is part of a plan to overthrow the rule of law. The joke is that getting rid of lawyers would make it easier to dismantle justice, not improve society. Shakespeare wasn’t leading an anti-lawyer rally. He was quietly admitting that once the lawyers are gone, things get ugly fast. Not exactly a comforting thought for the rest of you who enjoy not living in chaos. AI will never get rid of us. 🤣
