You're thinking of single prompt, single result, which is an issue, granted, and the reason no copyright would protect that, as it is derivative.
You will see the presence of AI does not decrease the need for artists, but also increase it. You see, the odds of ending up with AI slop is like 99 to 1. And AI does not create on its own, it always needs a prompt. If you want to make use of AI tools in a way people enjoy it, that takes mastery. There's the need of an artist overseer.
When we include the multi-prompt, iterative approach, seeing AI not as a replacement, but a powerful conduit, the argument presented on this video falls apart.
