AI "art" isn't even comparable to other automation because a lot of art is admired for the skill and thought put into it. Like, sure, a painting of a sunset is nice, but what makes it different from a photo or irl experience? There's plenty of art that looks like a grade schooler made it in museums and it's not because it's inherently gorgeous, often it's making a point of some kind, which can only come from a person with actual thought and effort, skill and time.
That's not even going into how AI "art" is 99.9999999etc.% programed off of entirely unauthorized theft, which is another level of messed up.
Automation taking mundane jobs is only an issue because those workers don't have support outside of those jobs. Those jobs usually suck anyways. They should have their basic needs met regardless, but yknow, capitalism. Plus greedy corporations always take it too far too fast. I always hear the example of checkouts, but the issue isn't the existence of self checkouts. It's that with them corps cut nearly all the human run machines so lines are still forever long, and they break down just as often without human backup, so it's not an inherently better experience and sometimes it's worse.
Automation is supposed to make things easier for everyone but of course greedy corporations cut down as many people as they possibly can to save money and still function.
