AI art collapse is inevitable. Nightshade is really just exacerbating an inherent problem in how it works in that it needs a stockpile of good work to reference. it relies on the same people it seeks to replace. and it doesn't have the sense to separate the good and the bad. nightshade, bad human art, the rapid proliferation of ai generated stuff on the internet causes it to have more and more bad references, causing it to get worse rather than better. real artists are supposed to reference photos and real life. even good human art has small mistakes that get exaggerated if artists reference each other instead of the real thing. the only difference is in how badly it damages the art community before investors get tired of empty promises.
