It benefits the elites to have a world of low class human labour and high tech AI, but it doesn;t benefit the ordinary person. As soon as you destroy electrical infrastructure you don't have AI. It's extremely open to attack - cyber or physical. Once people realize their potential exposure I expect entire areas will start de-coupling from AI. either by choice or because of terrorism or for the health of individual and/or environment. And all of this is because God always destroys Babel and scatters the people who built it.
