This is hilariously and unknowingly brilliant by them actually. Their two main weapons: Personal Incredulity and emotionally led distrust of authority are two things which can't work on an AI. They can't use the normal tactics of trying to seed doubt and attempt to lead them down the path of _feeling_ there's something "Not quite right" often through the complete lack of scale and "everyday object Analogues" ("Look at this basketball" etc.). That's all they really do so this is perfect for them- and they seem to have assumed it would be the opposite!
Maybe an easier way for them to consider it (assuming they're being intellectually genuine) is time. Diffusion is not INSTANT. Even with a localised vacuum chamber there are milliseconds where the air is being drawn into it due to the low pressure area. Scale it up massively (and add many other factors!) and you may be able to explain how our atmosphere is being leaked away at a very slow rate (from our perspective, but we know they have trouble with perspective.....). In time, our atmosphere will likely leak away (if it has time to do that naturally without us destroying it). That's very simplistic and leans too heavily on the one issue ignoring all the other factors but maybe they'll understand that more.
Him finding scale making things different ludicrous is especially dense considering we're talking bout DIFFUSION. Something completely based on relative amounts of something. But again, he doesn't see that.
*"I don't care about consensus, consensus is not science" ... ARGHHH!!! This is the worst one, out of all his moronic, terrible things he's said, this is the worst for me. He doesn't even know what science is! He lives in a child's world where everything is objective and clear cut but you simply have to find the secrets to "discover" it. No wonder he doesn't properly respect great scientists: he doesn't have a clue how they even achieve what they did. He seems to think they just happened to "Find" their life's work. As if anyone could've done so. Sorry for the edit making this longer but this was despicable.
**ChatGPT needs a "You're a fucking moron" tone of voice for when this sort of thing goes on too long an the person is too obnoxious/ interrupting. Re: ISS. We DON'T "see it" in that sense, we see a speck of light. Only with a telescope do you see real detail. This is such a pathetic point to labour on about. A 747 at cruising altitude is more than a speck, it has identifiable wings and shape. How is that not consistent?!?!
P.S. the very concept of a flat Earther arguing effectively against an inanimate object and getting frustrated is hilarious.
