While I can't say directly that AI took my music-making income (mixing, composing), the work evaporated along with the rise of AI (BS). It initially happened a bit slowly then pfft, it was all gone. People I had worked with were either not releasing anything (under that act name at least) or they were sporting mixes that were terrible and smelled of either $5 work, or bot rubbish. I too was asked to do AI and similar classless work, but that is like asking Einstein to endorse 1+1=458 and 4 and 128...
As for not blaming, I see both sides,. Sure it is cheaper but at what cost? All this AI stuff is insulting to serious customers. There is no personalization, no differentiation... BUT there is a raft of (non)people who seem to prefer this bland sausage of shit. Who are we to buck that? As for YooBoob, that has been increasingly AI (and equivalent) rubbish for years. That ranks, humanity tanks.
I now earn better working a McJob. It is more than a bit disappointing that a life of skills & experience is lost to humanity, wasted.
