Is AI useful? I did not find it helpful. I wrote an engineering research proposal for the electric grid.

My friend, Dr. Mo, helped me with access to ChatGPT. The results were not useful. I knew and wrote much more than ChatGPT. So, I tried two other AI. Both were not useful.
I am a Retired Professional Engineer, MN, tested in electrical and agricultural. I was mentored by my Dad, PE, MN, tested in electrical and mechanical, and Master Electrician; and by Dad's friend, PE, MN, in civil engineering (esp wastewater).
Before retiring, I was designing the electrical of naval ships. Before that, I was the facilities engineer of a DoD supercomputer data center.
