AI bros be like "Quality = Soul" If your art is "shitty" then they don't think it has any soul. Because they think "Art = Output" prettier output = more art? nah.
Also "The creator is a person with a purpose and a vision and a soul." Except, really, if you use something that gives you a non deterministic output based on what you type in, you're trading away your vision, and the "soul" of the image. In the end, as a creator using gen AI, all you have, is an idea. As you refine your prompt you may have a more /detailed/ idea, but that does not mean you've really created, you've just basically told someone your idea and had them do it.
You microwaved a hot pocket and called yourself a michelin star chef. The microwave is a tool but it doesn't make you a chef, much like how generative AI is a tool, but it doesn't make you an artist.
