This is a luddite argument. Bernie doesn't understand how increasing productivity in capitalism can benefit everyone -- as long as those profits are distributed equitably. I don't want to live in a country that subsidizes Blockbuster employees or horse handlers because we don't want to lose irrelevant jobs. The conversation should instead be "How can we equitably distribute profits from AI and robotics when we increase productivity?"
