Everytime this topic comes up this particular angle is never explored: where do the resources for the robots come from? Yeah, perhaps one robot can do the jobs of several people at once, but they still need a sht ton of precious metals, plastic, silicon and other materials to build an infrastructure where every single part of the production chain is taken into account. We are already struggling to find enough materials for the "brain" parts of the society, aka the computers themselves, and data centers are already sucking mines and bodies of water empty at light speed. Currently we can't even replace all the cars in the world with electric versions (not that we should have when we could invest on public transport but that's not the point)... so again, how are the robots going to replace all human labor? People think factory jobs have already been replaced by robots, but that's a false belief - you just don't see the people that work for those jobs, because they are in Bangladesh and China and countries like that.
Sure, inevitably we will come around this problem too, but considering how there are still millions of people that live without electricity or internet... yeah, the infrastructure doesn't just. Pop out of nowhere just because we (or an AI) can imagine it existing. An AI can invent a plan and still we cannot necessarily mobilize the whole world to fulfil this plan.
