I'm super interested in the deep fake thing, just from the perspective of art and law. If you paint someone, you don't need their permission to use their likeness, or for any medium--photos and videos included--even if you use it commercially in some cases. You could argue deep fakes are just AI assisted art. Someone already won an art contest with AI generated images. It could be a form of abuse, or it could be a form of artistic expression. A deep fake of Biden ramming rod down Trump's throat could definitely be argued to be a political parody. Yes, I sound like an asshat. I'm just pointing out that we already have well established laws that address this sort of thing, or at least address something adjacent to it, so it'll be interesting to watch.
