This is civilisation grade technology and the public need a stake in directly governing and participating in them, they should be public utilities not private companies. If a decade from now you have a 1 billion ai "employees" and the public has no stake then its game over for the masses. The masses need to get involved or "boo hoo immigration" will be the least of peoples worries.
