if i hear their point of using gen ai for "art" as making it accessible, then they should consider adapting. yes, it may already been clear since art has been accessible throughout the entire human civilization, but it should've not subtitute the very soul behind the art itself. sure, ai can generate them faster, but does the machine even remotely know what makes it special and genuine to the subtle point of every details and stuff other than follow what the prompt asked them to? i doubt so
not every arts are perfect, like how not everyone is perfect, but at the very least it's genuine. heck, even scribble drawings from a toddler is already feels more genuine than putting it up to ai. i don't even think that there's even a good argument to use gen ai for it if i would be honest. if you really want to express yourself through art, then take your time learn your own ways to draw, as shrimple as that
