One of the big material problems we are facing already with ai data centers is that according to a new report they already used as much water this past year as the entire bottled water industry. Towns are loosing water pressure because of these data centers and when water starts getting scarce who is actually going to get it? Citizens or these data centers? Right now without major government pushback it looks like data centers will be prioritized.
